Uh! Of all the costumes I have ever made this is the one that has received the most "drama" and it still boggles my mind to this day. People were just very confused when I first wore this, most assumed it was a Kingdom Hearts Rinoa that was coming out, or that a sequel was being made to Final Fantasy VIII. The entire con I must have explained this costume to just about everyone. I came across the art for this costume while doing a search for Rinoa images, the second I saw it I said I would make it and of obviously I did. Rinoa's original outfit really wasn't a favorite of mine but I absolutely loved this style.

This was a costume I made back before I had a sewing machine, so it was all sewn by hand. I made my own patterns for this out of tracing paper and news paper and I ended up changing the design a bit. Like for instance the shirt straps, I opted to have them go over the shoulders instead of across the arms and I omitted the white thong that shows. The shorts and boots for this costume came from the thrift store and I purchased blue cotton fabric, black bias, black lace. The wings for this costume were all done in white felt, I wanted to make them look and feel soft. All of the
