Kagome
Inuyasha
Reincarnated Priestess
- First worn at Morikami Bon Festival 2005
- Price wise I spent less than $25 on this one
- Worked on this for about a month
Once upon a very long time ago I went to a Japanese Festival at a local museum, my friends and I had decided to dress up for it. I wanted to make a school girl uniform, and since I had the shikon necklace that I had purchased at a convention, I decided to make the costume to go with it.
This was another costume that went through a few changes until it reached it final version that you see pictured below. I was incredibly lucky to find the skirt in a thrift store for only $4, it was a tennis skirt in the kids section and thankfully it fit perfectly. The shirt also came from the same store and the shoes did as well, have I mentioned that I love thrift stores? I purchased some green fabric from Wal-Mart and I made the sailor collar to go around the shirt and I also added the cuffs to the sleeves. Then I added white bias tape to the collar and cuffs and I made a small red bow as well.
